Safety:
Size and fit:
Choose the correct size by measurements. The neck and arm openings should be well-fitted, not loose. Fit should be snug at the chest, not restrictive.

Check measurements and choose the correct size. Use the adjustable armholes so the fit is snug around the arms, not restrictive. Arms-in to arms-out: Use arms-in for newborn settling. As soon as baby shows signs of rolling, open one or both armholes for arms-out sleep (or move to the Infant Sleep Sack).

Arms free: Infant Sleep Sacks are for arms-free sleep. When using the removable sleeves, attach them securely with all press studs.

Do not wrap a baby inside a sleeping bag and do not add loose blankets over the top.

Fire Hazard Label:
The red fire warning label is required under AS/NZS 1249:2014 for children’s sleepwear in Australia and New Zealand. It does not mean the product is unsafe. It is a reminder to keep the garment away from heat and flame. Our sacks are made from natural, breathable fibres and do not use added flame-retardant chemicals.

  1. Dress + zip: Dress to the TOG Guide, zip up, and ensure the soft chin guard sits flat.
  2. Arms-in (newborn): Close all 3 press-studs for a snug, womb-like feel. Zip up all the way and tuck the soft zip cover under the chin.
  3. Adjust the fit: As baby grows, set 3, 2, or 1 stud closed for a secure, comfy fit.
  4. Arms-out (transition): When baby shows signs of rolling (often around 8–12 weeks), open one or both armholes for safe arms-out sleep.
  5. (Infant Sleep Sack) Sleeves on/off: Attach removable sleeves for cooler rooms, remove for warmer nights.
  6. Fit check: Neck and arm openings should be well-fitted, not loose. Bag stays roomy at the hips and legs.
  7. Layering: Use on its own or add a light layer underneath to suit the room temperature.
  8. Night change tip: Use the WhisperZip bottom-up for quick, quiet nappy changes while keeping the chest warm.

Sleep position and environment
Always place baby on their back to sleep in a safe sleep environment (firm, flat mattress, no soft toys or loose bedding).

Frequently Asked Questions

Which TOG should I choose?

Check the TOG Guide on this page for room-temperature ranges, and use the chart to pick 1.0 or 2.5 TOG. Each Swaddle Sack comes with a printed temperature chart in the pack, so you can double-check at home. Add or remove a light layer underneath to suit the room.

Is it safe to use?

Yes. The range meets AS/NZS 1249:2014 sleepwear safety requirements and is independently approved by INPAA. Always follow safe sleep guidance from Australian experts. The Raising Children’s Network of Australia has resources regarding sleep safety.

What is included in the box?

Infant Sleep Sack (3–12m): 1 sleep sack, 2 removable sleeves, printed temperature chart card, premium packaging.

What is better, sleeves on or off?

Use sleeves to match the room, not a fixed rule. In cooler rooms, keep sleeves on. In warmer rooms, take sleeves off. Check your baby’s chest or the back of the neck to judge comfort, warm is right, hot or sweaty means remove a layer. Follow TOG guidance, lower TOG for warm weather and higher TOG for cool weather.

How should it fit?

Fitted at the neck and arm openings, roomy at the hips and legs.
